There were some rumours on the web recently citing that OnePlus will launch a special edition of the OnePlus 5T, in collaboration with the Walt Disney owned Star Wars franchise. Today, the company officially announced the OnePlus 5T Star Wars Limited Edition at the Comic-Con event in Bangalore, putting an end to the rumour mill.

OnePlus did not put the actual product on display but released some product images of the Limited Star Wars Edition. Like it was rumoured, this special edition comes with a white back, which also has a Star Wars logo printed at the bottom of the back in red accent. Also, the alert slider comes with the red accent, and the front of the phone comes with the standard black colour.

Overall, the OnePlus 5T Star Wars Limited Edition looks hot in the new white and black hue. Recently, the OnePlus 5T got a Lava Red paint job in China, but the Star Wars edition looks even better than the former.

OnePlus did not reveal the price of this limited edition smartphone, but as per a press statement, the launch date and other details will be made available next week. However, it is expected that the special edition might be revealed entirely on December 16, on the same day the Star Wars: The Last Jedi releases.

Furthermore, the all-new OnePlus 5T Star Wars Edition might be exclusive to the Indian market itself. And yes, being a limited edition, the phone might be made available in very limited quantities too. The Star Wars edition might even get some nifty software features related to Star Wars as well.

As said earlier, there are not many details about the OnePlus 5T Star Wars Limited Edition. The complete pricing and availability details will be revealed next week. OnePlus might launch the Star Wars edition in a single 8GB RAM/128GB storage model as it did earlier with the OnePlus 3T in 2016. For the unaware, OnePlus made the Lava Red variant available in just the 8GB/128GB model.
