The Amazon landing page source code revealed that the "OnePlus 5 powered by 2.35GHz octa-core Snapdragon 835 processor and 8GB of RAM would release on 22 June 2017 as an exclusive at Amazon.in." This is an official listing, which means that the phone will have 8GB of RAM.

Just after the listing news came out, an Indian publication claimed that the phone would come in two variants- 6GB of RAM/ 64GB of storage, and the other one with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of onboard storage. Furthermore, to confirm the existence of 8GB RAM variant, the OnePlus 5 paid a visit to the GFXBench benchmark test, which also confirmed other specifications of the smartphone. The Indian price of the 6GB RAM variant is expected to be Rs. 32,999, while the 8GB of RAM expected to come with a price of Rs. 37,999.

As per the listing, the OnePlus 5 will flaunt a 5.5-inch Full HD display with a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels. An octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC can be seen under the hood, paired with massive 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, Adreno 540 GPU.

The listing shows a 16MP rear camera and a 16MP front-facing camera, but the teaser image already confirmed dual camera setup on the phone. There would be another sensor of maybe 20MP (according to teasers) which might be used to capture monochrome shots.

Furthermore, the device is running Android 7.1.1 Nougat based on Oxygen OS. The OnePlus 5 will be released globally on June 20, and it will land in Indian on June 22. There's a big debate going on the internet about the design of the OnePlus 5 because the teaser image revealed that the phone would boast same design language as the Oppo R11.

However, a OnePlus executive claims that the phone feels different in renders and it will be different when you actually experience it in real life. All in all, the dual camera design is same as the Oppo R11 and Apple iPhone 7 Plus design. Also, the OnePlus 5 will be the company's thinnest flagship ever.
