OnePlus has announced that its third smartphone, the OnePlus X, will be available for purchase in India starting today without any need for an invite. Moreover, the company has also launched the Ceramic version of the smartphone in India, but one would need an invite for purchasing it through Amazon India.
For those who are unaware, you would need a separate specific invite for purchasing the OnePlus X Ceramic (priced at Rs. 22,999), and the regular invites for the OnePlus X won't be accepted. The company has manufactured just 10,000 units of the device, and it is a limited edition variant.
The ceramic variant of the OnePlus X will be available only in India, Europe, and Hong Kong, and the device is manufactured using Zirconia that is procured from Australia. It takes 25 days to produce one unit of the OnePlus X Ceramic edition, and the whole process is done very delicately and accurately.
You can watch the manufacturing process of the OnePlus X in the video above. OnePlus has definitely learned that the invite system is letting people down who want to purchase its smartphones. With the OnePlus X, the company started the open sale quite fast after the official launch of the smartphone.
