OnePlus has been making a lot of buzz prior to the launch of its flagship, the OnePlus 3. Today, company’s CEO Carl Pei revealed on forums that the launch event for the device is going to be a fully 3D VR integrated one. OnePlus has collaborated with AntVR to offer Loop VR Headset that assures more sturdy, immersive and comfortable experience when compared to the OnePlus cardboard.

Talking about the Loop VR, the gear offers a 100-degree field of view, can accommodate a 5 or 6-inch smartphone conveniently, weighs 366 grams, and is equipped with Orthoscopic lenses. The VR lenses can also be adjusted to attain perfect focus. Like other established VR headsets like the Gear VR, this one also comes with cozy inner-padding and adjustable straps.

Commenting on the upcoming OnePlus 3 and the VR launch, Carl Pei, CEO, OnePlus wrote on the OnePlus forum, he said,“We’re extremely excited about the OnePlus 3, but it’s important to remember that without you, we wouldn’t have made it this far. Actually, that’s why we decided to do VR launches in the first place. Instead of speaking to a few members of the press, to be able to bring all of you together at the same time, and the same place. This is just as much your launch as it is ours. We can’t wait to see what’s next, so let’s find out – together,”

The OnePlus Loop VR Headset’s free offer is applicable for up to 30,000 headsets only, which also includes shipping and handling charges. For India, the free Loop VR Headset sale will be conducted through a flash sale model on June 3 and June 7 on Amazon.in. The company has still not disclosed the launch date for the OnePlus 3 yet, however, we expect it to be slated in the third or fourth week of the next month.
