Last week, OnePlus has not only launched the OnePlus 7 Pro, but the Chinese OEM also introduced the OnePlus Bullets Wireless 2 earphones too. Last year, we saw OnePlus release the Bullets Wireless, which became an instant hit in the market and were loved by the users. Now the company has released the second iteration of these earphones. The first gen of the OnePlus Bullets Wireless has set a high bar for this newly released pair, however, after reviewing these, we can be sure that the latest OnePlus Bullets Wireless 2 live up to all the hype. Here is the detailed review of the OnePlus Bullets Wireless 2.

OnePlus Bullets Wireless 2 Review: Design

Like OnePlus did a design overhaul with its latest flagship phone; unfortunately, the brand hasn’t done something like that with the second gen Bullets. We don’t get to see any drastic change in design and they resemble a lot to the previous gen earphones. That doesn’t mean that these earphones lack any premium feel, instead, they sport the same flexible neckband with the in-line buttons to give you more control over the playlist.

The OnePlus Bullets Wireless 2 still come with the magnetic snapping which also works as the on-off toggle for the earphones. When paired with a OnePlus device, these earphones also resume music playback when they unsnapped. The Bullets Wireless 2 also come with quick switch key which ensures that you can switch between two paired devices by pressing twice on the button. Apart from this, the earpieces seem very comfortable in the ears, and the slight design change give the earpieces a better fit as compared to the last gen Bullets. OnePlus has also said that these earphones are “waterproof for everyday use” meaning that they should be able to take a little splash or two.

OnePlus Bullets Wireless 2 Review: Sound Quality and Battery Life

This is the area where the OnePlus Bullets Wireless 2 truly shine as they prove to be the best earphones out there in this price range. These earphones come with 3 Knowles drivers positioned inside each earpiece, and also support Qualcomm’s aptX HD codec and connect to compatible devices over Bluetooth v5.0. There is also the fact that the OnePlus Bullets Wireless 2 favour the low frequencies more, but even with that being said there is no overlap among the bands and the music sounds equalised and balanced. For genres like pop or EDM, the OnePlus Bullets Wireless 2 become the perfect pair. The same is the case for the mids, as the guitar strums and voices on the track resonate with clarity.

As for connectivity, the OnePlus Bullets Wireless 2 maintain an impressive connection with the smartphone and even while activities like running or moving around, the connection does not give up. There was also a minimum audio-video delay while streaming content on the phone.

On the battery front, the OnePlus Bullets Wireless 2 pack 600mAh cell which manages to last around four days in general or about 13 and a half hour of music play time. Another interesting thing to note is that the Bullets Wireless 2 come with a USB Type-C port and support Warp Charge technology as well. OnePlus promises ten hours of music playback in just few minutes of charge which is completely legit.

OnePlus Bullets Wireless 2 Review: Verdict

Given the Rs 5,990 price tag of OnePlus Bullets Wireless 2 we would recommend that if you are planning on buying these earphones, then you should do so without any second thoughts. The OnePlus Bullets Wireless 2 surpass the previous gen earphones, they offer a compelling design and the sound quality on these is also simply excellent.
