A few months back, OnePlus and Hasselblad, an iconic Swedish camera maker entered into a partnership for the upcoming flagship smartphones from the former. Later, the company unveiled the OnePlus 9 series of flagship smartphones. These devices carried the credits of being the first ones to feature the Hasselblad camera sensors. Now, the Chinese manufacturer has rolled out the XPan Mode on the OnePlus 9 series smartphones. This feature has been rolled out to the OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro along with Hasselblad.
OnePlus 9 Series Get Hasselblad XPan Mode
As per the press statement issued by OnePlus, the XPan Mode lets users share creative and compelling visual stories that are recreated with the classic experience of the Hasselblad XPan camera sensor in the smartphone. This mode is designed to let users experience the exact feeling of a Hasselblad XPan camera on their smartphones.
This mode lets users try the 35mm format of the XPan camera alongside the ability to quickly switch to full panorama format sans the necessity to change the film. The addition of this mode provides a unique field of view offering users a new perspective of the situation.
As per the Head of Imaging at OnePlus, Hsiaohua Cheng, working with Hasselblad on XPan Mode lets them recreate their legendary experience of taking a look at their photographs in the 65:24 format prior to capturing a panoramic and wide image in 30mm and 45mm. Using the XPan Mode on the OnePlus 9 series will let users see the world they are living in via a unique lens. Also, the executive expressed that the format will be used by users and photographers worldwide.
