OnePlus 7T Pro Officially Launches in India for Rs 53,999, McLaren Edition Announced Too

OnePlus 7T Pro has been announced at the company's global event in London. There are two variants of the OnePlus 7T Pro- the standard one and the McLaren Edition. A couple of days ago, OnePlus announced its second phase of partnership with McLaren and the OnePlus 7T Pro McLaren Edition is a result of the same. OnePlus 7T Pro comes in a single variant with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage, priced at Rs 53,999, whereas the McLaren Edition will retail for Rs 58,999. As always, the OnePlus 7T Pro will be exclusively available via Amazon India, starting October 11. The Chinese smartphone maker also confirmed that the McLaren Edition of the 7T Pro would be available in limited quantities. OnePlus 7T Pro: Specifications and Features Detailed

Most of the specs of the OnePlus 7T Pro are pretty much identical to the OnePlus 7 Pro released earlier this year. The 7T Pro sports a 6.67-inch Quad HD+ display with a resolution of 3120x1440 pixels and it's a Full-Screen design, meaning a pop-up camera is present on top. Similar to the OnePlus 7T and OnePlus 7 Pro, the 7T Pro also features 90Hz refresh rate and it ships with OxygenOS 10.0-based on Android 10 out of the box.

As for the hardware, the phone is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855+ chipset, paired with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. Yes, the standard OnePlus 7T Pro will be available in a single variant and it's priced at Rs 53,999. As for the cameras, the OnePlus 7T Pro features triple cameras on the back featuring a 48MP+16MP+8MP setup. On the front, it has a 16MP shooter for selfies and video calls.

Other features of the smartphone include an in-display fingerprint scanner, USB 3.0 storage, dual stereo speakers, NFC and Bluetooth 5.0. The phone is backed by a 4085mAh battery with Warp Charge 30T charging support. The OnePlus 7T Pro will be available in a single colour option- Haze Blue.

OnePlus 7T Pro McLaren Edition: How it Differs from the Standard 7T Pro?

As noted, OnePlus also announced a new McLaren Edition of the OnePlus 7T Pro. The phone features 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage, along with a slightly different design on the rear panel compared to the standard OnePlus 7T Pro. Having said that, OnePlus did not add many features to the OnePlus 7T Pro McLaren Edition. To recall, the OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition arrived with faster charging, more RAM and storage and the retail box had many additional accessories as well. However, that's not the case with OnePlus 7T Pro McLaren Edition as the phone features the same Warp Charge 30T charging technology and it even lacks wireless charging, similar to the standard 7T Pro.

But the price is surely on the higher side at Rs 58,999. OxygenOS 10 on the OnePlus 7T Pro McLaren Edition comes with some additional touch-ups to match the design of the smartphone.

OnePlus 7T Pro: Pricing and Availability in India

The most surprising part from the launch event of the OnePlus 7T Pro. The standard 7T Pro comes in a single variant with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage, whereas the McLaren Edition has 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. The non-McLaren Edition will retail for Rs 53,999, whereas the McLaren Edition comes in a limited quantity at Rs 58,999.

The OnePlus 7T Pro will be available for open sale starting 12 PM on October 12, 2019. The OnePlus 7T Pro McLaren edition will be available on open sale starting 12 PM on November 5. It's surprising to see OnePlus launching only one variant of the 7T Pro, but the company's intentions are pretty much clear- the OnePlus 7 Pro will start at Rs 44,999 now which is a good thing.
