OnePlus 7 at Rs 29,999 Still Makes Up for a Good Purchase Even After the Arrival of OnePlus 7T

OnePlus just announced the OnePlus 7T in India at a starting price of Rs 37,999. At the same time, the company has discounted the OnePlus 7 and it will be available at a starting price of Rs 29,999 during the Amazon Great Indian Festival sale. At that price, the OnePlus 7 will be an excellent smartphone to purchase under Rs 30,000. Between Rs 25,000 to Rs 30,000, we don't have many smartphones to consider because the Redmi K20 Pro will be available starting from Rs 24,999. There's the Asus 6Z, but the OnePlus 7 is an overall better smartphone between the two phones. Even after the OnePlus 7T's launch, the OnePlus 7 at the discounted price will be a good option to go for. Probably, the base variant of OnePlus 7 with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage will be available for Rs 29,999 and the additional 10% discount offer on bank cards may be applicable as well.

OnePlus 7 at Rs 29,999 After the OnePlus 7T Launch: Should You Go for It?

The OnePlus 7 was launched earlier this year carrying a starting price of Rs 32,999. For the asking price at the launch, the phone offered incredible value. Now, the OnePlus 7 became even more affordable for the upcoming Amazon Great Indian Festival sale which will kickstart on September 29. The OnePlus 7's base variant with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of onboard storage will be available at a price of Rs 29,999, and on top of that, there may be 10% discount offer for SBI cardholders. The bank offer is not yet confirmed by Amazon India; If the bank offer is valid, the phone will be available at an even more affordable price.

Now the biggest question in everyone's mind is the OnePlus 7T. With the launch of OnePlus 7T, should you purchase the OnePlus 7 now? Well, if the OnePlus 7T is priced anything below Rs 35,000, it wouldn't have made sense to pick up the OnePlus 7, but the 7T costs Rs 37,999 for the base variant with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. Amazon already confirmed that the 10% discount offer on SBI cards would be applicable on the OnePlus 7T as well during the sale period. Even that will not bring the price of OnePlus 7T to below Rs 35,000. At Rs 29,999, the OnePlus 7 is the best phone to purchase as it still has powerful hardware- Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 SoC, 6GB of RAM, 128GB of internal storage, 48MP dual camera setup, Full HD+ AMOLED display with an in-display fingerprint scanner and a 3800mAh battery.

As mentioned in our earlier article, the OnePlus 7T is not just the company's usual 'T' upgrade, instead, it's a major one bringing in a lot of new features from the high-end OnePlus 7 Pro. If your budget is strictly under Rs 30,000, then go for the OnePlus 7 without looking any further. That said, if you can stretch to around Rs 35,000, then the newly launched OnePlus 7T should be your de-facto choice.

OnePlus 7 Pro Starts at Rs 44,999, But Get the OnePlus 7T Instead

Alongside the OnePlus 7, the Chinese company also discounted the OnePlus 7 Pro- it's premium flagship phone till date. The OnePlus 7 Pro's base variant with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage will be available at Rs 44,999 during the Amazon Great Indian Festival sale. But we would suggest you get the OnePlus 7T instead of the OnePlus 7 Pro because the newly launched phone packs the same 90Hz screen from the OnePlus 7 (it's a Full HD one though), it has slightly faster Qualcomm Snapdragon 855+ chipset, better cameras and faster-charging technology.

You will miss out on the Quad HD display, full-screen design, pop-up camera and the edge-to-edge screen, but the OnePlus 7T is a better phone than the OnePlus 7 Pro, given the major difference in the price range. The OnePlus 7T, including all the offers, the phone will come around Rs 36,000 or Rs 36,500 to the customers and it's a great phone for the asking price.
