OnePlus 5T With 6-inch 18:9 Display, Snapdragon 835 SoC, 20MP Front-Facing Camera Spotted on GFXBench

OnePlus 5T is appearing on the web every single day, and that too revealing some new information about the smartphone. And today’s leak comes from GFXBench, one of the top benchmark services for Android OS. The OnePlus 5T with model number A5010 paid a visit to GFXBench which revealed key specifications of the smartphone.

The OnePlus 5T, as it was rumoured all these days is confirmed to feature a 6-inch Full HD+ display with a resolution of 2160*1080 pixels. It will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC and will come in two RAM and storage options- 6GB+64GB and 8GB+128GB option.

However, the surprising part is that OnePlus will release the 5T with Android Nougat itself, and not Android 8.0 Oreo. OnePlus did the same with OnePlus 3T as well last year. The Chinese company might release an Android Oreo Open Beta program for the OnePlus 5 and 5T by the end of 2017. Already, Android Oreo Open Beta program is out for OnePlus 3 and 3T.

Coming back to the GFXBench listing, the OnePlus 5T will feature a better 20MP front-facing camera, as opposed to the 16MP shooter seen on the OnePlus 5. Furthermore, the 5T is expected to have a 16MP rear camera as per the listing, but previous reports suggested that it will come with two 20MP sensors- one standard RGB sensor and another 20MP sensor with a telephoto lens. OnePlus founders are already teasing the Portrait mode shots of the OnePlus 5T.

The 5T is also expected to come with a bigger battery, possibly the company will use a 3600mAh unit. The OnePlus 5 is already the best battery smartphone available in the market, and a bigger battery on the 5T will be an added advantage. The price of the OnePlus 5T is also expected to be a tad higher than the OnePlus 5, maybe at $499 for the 64GB model and Rs. 34,999 in India.

OnePlus is expected to launch the smartphone on November 16, but there’s no official media invite yet. We will keep you posted once there’s an official invite from the company.

This should really stop, OnePlus should launch these devices at once or it should be on expected timeline. How will the customers of OP5 will feel when just months after their devices become “old”?

Yes. Vivo oppo and oneplus work together. Vivo and oppo cannot make flagship phones and have to stick to midrange phones. Because of oneplus, oppo had to ditch its Find series. Oppo Find 7 was an awesome piece of hardware. Sad that it had to go. Vivo and oppo are slaves of oneplus. Oneplus keeps all the flagships and Vivo and oppo can’t do anything.

Vivo and OPPO cannot touch the level of One Plus!!!!! One plus is in different league altogether!!!!! If One plus slightly tweaks camera and battery with software updates, it’s killer phone to have!!!!! I have used one of my friends One Plus One and One plus 2,theu are still better than today’s budget phones!!!!! It’s just they are overpriced for what they are offering!!!!!! If they reduced price a little bit, they are good to go!!!!!

This is because all these three brands are owned by BBK Electronics. When Carl Pei left OPPO and Oneplus emerged as a people choice/success, BBK had to put OPPO flagships aside and BBK pushed OPPO in the Mid range segment along with Vivo, so that they could take Oneplus under their umbrella.

Win Win for both, BBK and Carl Pei! 🙂

Oh man that sucked. I really wanna see a phone like an OPPO Find 9 someday. The Find 7 had a unique design and it was amazing. The skyline notification was out of this world. The Find 7 also had a tough break test and it passed. The current oneplus phones are just for the specs. No real innovation in that department. And they hate card slots.

I hope Razer makes a phone with display of 18:9 ratio and use the same 120hz screen or higher, coupled with the 845, and a unique form factor.
