AI Assistants in Microsoft Teams
Omada explained that the development has been planned with the use of Microsoft Semantic Kernel, an open-source development framework that empowers businesses to integrate AI capabilities into applications.
The new solution introduces AI-powered assistants within Microsoft Teams, enabling employees to manage access requests, approvals, and compliance tasks more intuitively, according to the official release. Occasional users, often overwhelmed by complex security systems, will now receive guided assistance, while frequent users benefit from context-aware, data-driven decision-making, according to the official release.
Conversational Interactions
"Omada Identity Cloud's seamless integration with Microsoft's AI capabilities creates a smarter, faster, and more user-friendly experience," the company highlighted.
By utilising Microsoft's Semantic Kernel, the platform allows for conversational, natural-language interactions, reducing the learning curve for non-technical users. The AI assistant retrieves and summarises relevant information from Omada Identity Cloud in real time, speeding up decision-making and minimising errors.

Integration Boosts Productivity
"Integrating Omada Identity Cloud with Microsoft Azure OpenAI Service and Semantic Kernel through Teams transforms the user experience into an intuitive, conversational process, helping users navigate tasks more effectively. The result is improved productivity, fewer operational bottlenecks, and a significant reduction in IT support requests; now, users can rely on the Teams-powered AI assistant to guide them through their tasks and help them become more intuitive, responsive and user-centric," Omada said.
The integration streamlines operations, reduces IT support requests, and boosts productivity by providing managers with step-by-step instructions for task completion. Additionally, the system can proactively nudge users toward adopting security best practices, enhancing compliance and security across organisations.
Michael Garrett, CEO of Omada, said: "This innovative technology partnership with Microsoft transforms identity governance into a seamless AI-driven experience tailored to the modern workplace. Looking ahead, such AI-driven interfaces can evolve into highly adaptive systems that assist with immediate tasks and provide light security training during interactions, reinforcing the user's understanding of critical identity security processes. This ensures that even occasional users can stay effective, compliant and secure."
