Following the success of OKWU Pi, the Noida-based upstart has launched yet another smartphone called the OKWU Omicron at an event in New Delhi today. The smartphone boasts the fastest fingerprint sensor in the industry with an unlock time of 0.1 seconds. Another highlight of the Omicron is its high-resolution display which has 480 PPI.

The company claims that the “Omicron showcases groundbreaking features that will build a new paradigm for the mobile experience.”
As far as the specs of the smartphone are concerned, the OKWU Omicron features a CNC made metal frame design. It has a 5.5-inch Full HD display with 480 PPI which is slightly higher that what you get to see usually.
The Omicron is powered by a 1.5GHz quad-core chipset which is coupled with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage space which is further expandable up to 64GB.
The imaging department is taken care of by a 13MP rear camera with PDAF technology and a 5MP selfie camera along with a front-facing flash.
As mentioned earlier, the smartphone has a fingerprint sensor on the back which is claimed to be the fastest sensor in the industry so far with unlocking time of 0.1 seconds.
The device runs on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow and draws fuel from a 3,000mAh battery. Connectivity-wise, it offers support for a standard set of features along with 4G VoLTE support.
