Nokia, the Finnish brand made a grand entry to the smartphone market with the launch of three Android smartphones and the iconic Nokia 3310 recently. The company earlier today officially confirmed that more Nokia phones are coming in Q2 2017 and they will be announced in 120 countries altogether. From the last few weeks, a couple of Nokia phones have spotted online, and leaks have named them as Nokia 7 and Nokia 8.
In addition to the earlier spotted leaks, a reliable tipster from China has posted an image on Baidu, which apparently leaked the design of two upcoming Nokia phones and sources are again touting them as Nokia 7 and Nokia 8.
The image was shot at one of the HMD Global employee desk, which confirms the presence of the dual camera in the upcoming Nokia phones. The source, however, claims that the left phone (in the image) as the Nokia 8, which will boast of Carl Zeiss certified dual rear camera. The phone at the right side in the picture is termed as Nokia 7, which will feature only single lens camera along with a flashlight.
Also, the phones in the sketching have a different design when compared to that of already announced Nokia phones. The Nokia 7 and Nokia 8 will have more rounded corners. Other reports claim that both the phones will be powered by the yet-to-be-announced Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 SoC.
More recently, an unknown smartphone with no name was benchmarked with Snapdragon 660. The device spotted was running Android 7.0 Nougat and has pure stock Android icons on the top. So, if we presume the benchmarked device as Nokia 8, we have the complete specifications of the phone. The Nokia 8 will boast of a 2K display, 6GB of RAM, 64GB of internal storage, and more importantly 12MP dual rear camera. But, these are just our speculations, and there are no confirmations on the same.
Having said that, the at least one upcoming Nokia device will feature Carl Zeiss certified dual lens camera. Nokia recently announced that their Nokia 3, Nokia 5, and Nokia 6 will start shipping from Q2 2017 and will come with dedicated microSD card slots.
