First give WhatsApp, then sell newer phones. Also, add Google/Hotmail/Outlook contact syncing.

Also, for those who think these phones are good – wait till Nokia gives these features. Else you will go back to old days of having to transfer contacts and all shit.

Really? I have a Nokia 501. There is no WhatsApp on the Nokia Store. Kindly please check rather than making stupid comments.

I have no use for LINE or Chat or whatever are the alternatives.

Oh, and please dont ask me to directly download the jad file from the whatsapp website – tried and says permission issues. The 501 is not based on Symbian S40 – its based on MeeGo. I already have battery issues, the phone hardly lasts a day without WiFi.

Instead of jad file you can directly try installing jar file. just edit url and try there wont be any permission issues. Anyway I have read in news that it’s coming for Asha 501 in November.

Sadly, I had already tried this out. On ASHA phones, there is a AppNow application which can be used to install jar files. Tried, it also says permissions not valid.

I feel that they bought a half baked product out to the market.
