The Nokia 9 PureView is finally coming to India, as teased by HMD Global. The official Nokia Mobile India Twitter account today teased the launch of Nokia 9 PureView in the sub-continent, but it did not provide any launch date. At the moment, all we know is the Nokia 9 PureView coming to the Indian market after nearly five months of its global launch back at the MWC 2019 tech show. For the unaware, the Nokia 9 PureView is HMD Global's first flagship smartphone for 2019 and it comes with five 12MP rear cameras- a first on any smartphone till date. Several Nokia fans have been waiting for the company to launch this phone in India, but being a flagship handset, we're going to see steep pricing like the Nokia 8 Sirocco.

Nokia 9 PureView India Launch: What You Need to Know?

The Nokia 9 PureView is an interesting smartphone from HMD Global or from any company right now. The handset offers five 12MP rear cameras to deliver exceptional images. HMD Global already launched the device in several countries and the reviews for the product were decent too. At the launch, the Nokia 9 PureView wasn't a finished product, but HMD Global has refined the handset with several software updates.

As noted, HMD Global just teased the device as 'Coming Soon' to the Indian market without revealing any launch date. Also, there are no media invites from the company's side, so the handset launch might be a bit far away.

Nokia 9 PureView: Specifications and Features

Specifications wise, the Nokia 9 PureView will not have many fans out there because it's a phone from 2018. The handset sports a 5.99-inch Quad HD+ screen on the front with 18:9 aspect ratio and no notch or pop-up selfie camera. Underneath, it's powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset and comes with 6GB of RAM, 128GB of internal storage. It'll be interesting to see whether HMD Global released the Nokia 9 PureView with the same chipset or the latest Snapdragon 855 SoC. There's an in-display fingerprint scanner as well.

As for the cameras, we get five 12MP sensors on the rear side along with a Time of Flight (ToF) sensor. There are two 12MP RGB sensors and three 12MP monochrome sensors to capture information. HMD Global claims that all the five sensors will work in tandem and capture an image so that it delivers the best quality image from any smartphone. It'll be interesting to see how this technology actually works in real life.

Nokia 9 PureView: Expected Pricing in India

The Nokia 9 PureView is a unique smartphone when it comes to cameras, but the internal hardware is from 2018. Also, HMD Global has the habit of overpricing their flagship phones. Going by the earlier rumours, the Nokia 9 PureView will likely be priced at Rs 49,999 in India and it will compete with the OnePlus 7 Pro.
