As it teased yesterday, HMD Global has now officially launched the 4GB of RAM variant of the Nokia 6 (2018) (also known as Nokia 6.1) in India at a price point of Rs 18,999. Earlier, the Finnish upstart launched only the 3GB RAM and 32GB of onboard storage variant in the country. But now, it has introduced a 4GB RAM and 64GB variant for the storage hoggers out there. This new model will be sold on Amazon India starting May 13, and it' still unknown whether HMD Global is planning to sell it in the offline market or not. The 3GB RAM version is available across various offline portal such as Sangeetha, Poorvika and so on.
Furthermore, Amazon India also listed some offers for the new variant. Firstly, there's the Rs 2,000 cashback offer from Bharti Airtel, and for Airtel users, there's the Airtel TV subscription offer until December 31, 2018. Users can also avail 12-months No Cost EMI on the product.
Nokia 6 (2018) 4GB RAM Specifications
Besides the bump in RAM and internal storage, the new 4GB RAM variant of the Nokia 6 (2018) offers the same specifications. The phone sports a 5.5-inch Full HD display and has a fingerprint sensor placed at the back. The original Nokia 6 which was announced a year back featured the fingerprint scanner on the front. The display is protected by the Corning Gorilla Glass 3 technology.
The device is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 chipset and the phone now comes in two different configurations- one with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage and the other one with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage.
Being a part of Google's Android One program, the Nokia 6 (2018) is currently on Android 8.1 Oreo with the promise of Android P update once it goes official later this year. Cameras in the smartphone include a 16MP rear-facing one with f/2.0 aperture, dual-tone LED flash and ZEISS optics. Up front, there's an 8MP selfie shooter.
The phone is fuelled by a 3000mAh battery and thankfully, the phone has support for fast charging as well, which tops up the device up to 50% in 30 minutes. The phone offers 4G LTE, VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth, GPS and a USB Type-C port.
