Last month, Microsoft had announced two basic mobile phones, the Nokia 130 and Nokia 130 Dual SIM. The Nokia 130 Dual SIM is now available to Indian consumers for purchase through Snapdeal for Rs. 1,750.

The Nokia 130 Dual SIM features a 1.8-inch TFT screen with a resolution of 128 x 160 pixels, inbuilt music and video player, a microSD card slot, FM Radio and Dual SIM card slots. It even features Bluetooth v3.0 connectivity, LED flashlight and a 1020 mAh battery. The device looks like a decent buy, especially if you like dumb phones as backup devices. Do you still buy feature phones for yourself or for the elderly?

The Price is High as compared to chinese brands like Icell,Richmax,G Nine, Cool Wave which offer much higher features at lower prices[Rs 450 Handset+Rs 300 Nokia Genuine BL-5C Battery+Rs 200 SD Card=Rs 950/-] than the present nokia entry level feature phones like 105,106,107,108. The specs are also incomplete if file manager SD card access option is available? back ground wall paper can be changed? Individual SIM’s Ringtone and SMS tone can be customised or not? Music playable on back ground speaker? These features were purely missing in the above Nokia series which also had sound clarity problem.

I won a Xperia U. But for making or receive a call fast and easily I prefer a Nokia feature phone. Previously I had Nokia 1661 then upgraded to Nokia 114 and recently to Asha 206, its a fantastic phone. Surely I am going to miss it when Micsrosoft is going to kill the whole feature phone line up, just like Sony Ericsson.
