The Government of Maharashtra, in collaboration with the Tech Entrepreneurs Association of Mumbai (TEAM), is joining forces to host the second edition of Mumbai Tech Week (MTW) 2025—claimed to be Asia's largest AI event—from February 24 to March 1, 2025, to position Mumbai as a global AI hub. "This strategic partnership underscores India's vision to become a global leader in artificial intelligence (AI), with Mumbai at the epicenter of this transformation," the official release said.

Mumbai Tech Week 2025
"As the largest AI event in Asia and with an extraordinary lineup of leaders, Mumbai Tech Week 2025 is where the next era of technology is envisioned, discussed, and set in motion," said TEAM spokesperson.
With Mumbai contributing 4 percent to India's GDP, the Maharashtra government sees AI as a key driver of economic growth.
"Mumbai Tech Week 2025 provides the perfect platform for actionable insights and forward-thinking discussions on AI, as we partner with TEAM to solidify Mumbai's role as an AI leader by supporting talent, infrastructure, investment, and innovation," said Devendra Fadnavis, Chief Minister, Government of Maharashtra.
"Marking the convergence of tech, policy, governance, and AI, Mumbai Tech Week 2025 will demonstrate, deliberate on, and drive dialogue on the future of AI, showcasing what Mumbai's AI boom means for the world," the official release added. The event intends to position Mumbai as the 'AI Use Case Capital,' and will host a lineup of leaders from government, industry, technology, and entertainment.

Speakers and Industry Leaders at MTW 2025
Participants include Union Ministers Piyush Goyal and Ashwini Vaishnaw, along with industry figures such as N Chandrasekaran (Tata Sons), Uday Shankar (Jio Star), Akash Ambani (Reliance Jio Infocomm), Arundhati Bhattacharya (Salesforce India), and Puneet Chandok (Microsoft India and South Asia). Startup founders Kunal Shah (CRED), Bhavish Aggarwal (Ola), and Aadit Palicha (Zepto) will also share insights.
MTW 2025 will also explore AI's influence beyond business, featuring Rahul Dravid, filmmaker Karan Johar, actor-investor Suniel Shetty, and influencer Raj Shamani.
Event Schedule
The week-long event is divided into two segments:
Feb 24–27, 2025: Satellite events across Mumbai, including workshops and hackathons.
Feb 28–Mar 1, 2025 (Mega Days): Keynotes, panel discussions, and networking at Jio World Convention Centre, BKC.
