MTS Revises Prepaid Ultra (Rev B) Offerings

MTS India, the pure-play CDMA operator of the country, has revised its data offerings for its data card subscribers. India’s mobile broadband market has been booming for some time and CDMA operators who enjoyed first mover advantage is now facing competition from GSM/3G players.

At present MTS offers highest mobile broadband speed on CDMA turf – upto 9.8 Mbit/s downlink. It should be noted that Reliance Communications offers EVDO Rev B as Pro3 which offers upto 14.7 Mbit/s but is limited to 2 cities only.

The latest revision from MTS data offerings including 20GB night plan, 24 hr 1GB UL plan

This new tariff is applicable in Kolkata & WB circle. Other circles have similar plan, but before recharge contact MTS Customer Care (toll free 955 from any mts mobile).

Collect a MTS smartphone SIM, buy an unlocked CDMA Rev. B datacard. Enjoy lower tariffs.

I like CDMA EVDO data connection over gsm.
But this tariff is not attractive.
Another 50% cut should do the trick.

I bought a MTS Ultra Wi-Fi around 15 days ago (1750rs 10GB data with 15days validity). I bought around 8pm and the connection was activated within an hour (I requested the sales executive to activate asap as I had needed this very next morning. Next day I tried speedtest.net and got 7.55Mbps !!! When the validity was about to over I called customer support and asked them about data carry forward recharges.. They told me about 399plan..
