I think majority of people will not purchase this handsets because people are now feeling that there is no uniqueness in CDMA. Tariffs should be much lower than GSM To make it popular, both in voice and data segment.

Still good as a timepass handset.:-)

Now MTS is in the row of tariff hike . . . Earlier they gave first 6 months MTS to MTS free calls (150mins/day) . . but now they are charging 10paise . . . I want to tell one thing to MTS if they want good customer base then should launch some national level plans like MTS to MTS STD calls @10p else just allow MTS calls between KErala and Tamilnadu @10p.

To kingston :

Looks like they are not bothered about the tariff hike. I think they want to just push their old / flop handsets to the customers and clear off their junk yard !!!.

Have you ever tried MTS Handsets or just showing your precious knowledge over here?

I just predict that they want to push their old handsets. All operators are giving more offers only under bundled schemes where as they have withdrawn all benefits for new standalone customers.
