Moto G4 Play could debut soon in India, tipped to launch at Rs. 8,999

Moto G4 Play has been imported to India, says a listing on import and export tracking website Zauba. The leak, first spotted by the MotoG3 website, the Moto G4 Play could be launched at Rs. 8,999 in India.

In May 2016, the company had confirmed the launch of Moto G4 Play in India sometimes by mid-summer. The new Zauba listing shows that the launch date is nearing soon. As far as its specifications are concerned, Moto G4 Play comes with a 5-inch HD (720×1280 pixels) display with a pixel density of 294ppi. It is powered by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 SoC clocked at 1.2GHz paired with 2GB of RAM and the Adreno 306 GPU. The internal storage is 16GB, which can be further expanded via a microSD card to up to 128GB.

Moto G4 Play runs Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow out-of-the-box. This single micro-SIM smartphone also spots an 8MP camera at the rear with f/2.2 aperture and LED flash. In the front, a 5MP snapper decorates the device. There are several images enhancing features housed in the device, including burst mode, auto HDR, panorama, drag to focus, exposure, etc. The users can also tap anywhere on the display to capture the picture. Moto G4 Play can record full-HD videos at 30 fps.

In terms of connectivity, Moto G4 Play supports GPRS/EDGE, 3G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1, A-GPS, and Micro-USB connectivity options. It also packs an accelerometer, proximity sensor, and ambient light sensor. A 2800mAh battery completes the package. For fast charging, the G4 Play is compatible with 10W rapid charger. However, this rapid charger will have to be purchased separately.

Lenovo A6000 plus is a better choice.

Samsung J7 2016 and Lenovo K5 plus are better at below Rs.17000 segment.

Sudhakar, K5 plus is even under 10K…. why are you comparing with 17K segment? Samsung phones are kinda over priced, same as Moto… Its time to same GOODBYE to Moto… Bye Moto

I can’t understand whats the logic behind to build a single sim phone in 2016!!! Even Hybrid Sim concept is also a full bakwas… I think in Android 6 there is an option of adoptive storage facility where we can use our SD card as our primary storage. Now, manufacturer kinda feeling sorts of fear with it like Asus Zen Max is providing 32GB but disabling this feature where as Motorola used pure android but they are pushing to Single sim or Redmi to Hybrid one by which we have to use Dual Sim without extra storage.
