Microsoft reportedly set to drop Nokia and Windows Phone branding soon

According to some reports, Microsoft will discontinue using the Nokia brand on smartphones after the Nokia Lumia 730 and Nokia Lumia 830 models get released in the market. The confidential document that leaked recently revealed that the future devices will be called 'Microsoft Lumia' phones. The move will pave way for the unified Windows experience that has been on Microsoft’s agenda for long.

According to the leak, Microsoft will start using the regular Windows logo on new handsets instead of the Windows Phone logo. Local Nokia websites have already started redirecting visitors to Microsoft sites.
