Microsoft Lumia 630 & Lumia 930 might be launched in India on May 12

Microsoft has sent out media invites for the launch of the upcoming Lumia smartphones in India. The press invite comes on behalf of Microsoft Mobile as Nokia is now completely acquired by Microsoft. Nokia has recently put up Lumia 630 single SIM, Lumia 630 dual SIM and Lumia 930 on their official website in India.

The press invite states “If you don’t want to get lost even without any network…” which might hint towards the Lumia 630 which comes in dual SIM version as well. There are also possibilities of announcement of the Lumia 930 in the same event.

The Lumia 630 comes with a 4.5 inch screen, quad-core processor, 512 MB of RAM, 5 MP camera, Windows Phone 8.1 and a 1830 mAh battery. The Lumia 930 comes with a 5 inch full HD screen, Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor, 2 GB of RAM, 20 MP camera, Windows Phone 8.1 and 2420 mAh battery.

Will be interesting to see if these two phones comes with the Nokia name or not.


I am waiting for MS/Nokia 635 if it really has 4G lte in it. I don’t mind if Microsoft is written on a Nokia phone.


*I checked out on GSM Arena and no version of Nokia Lumia 635 seems to be supporting LTE on 2300 mhz band.Apart from that as I have said before if Nokia was genuinely interested in providing a LTE model for each and every country there would not have been two models in the first place.I mean a non LTE 630 and then a LTE 635 clearly indicted that both are meant for different markets, *If you’re so much into LTE then consider buying the recently unveiled iphone 5C 8GB which might fit in your budget I guess. *But any how… Read more »
