Micromax Canvas Xpress launched in India for Rs 6,999

Micromax has been quietly launching a slew of devices in the Indian smartphone market to take on the rivals and it has been pretty successful at being the winner when it comes to taking on the competition. And in a bid to further help it strengthen its grip over the budget segment, it has launched yet another budget smartphone. This one joins the ranks with the likes of the Canvas Unite 2 and comes with the moniker of Canvas Xpress. The device runs on Android 4.4 KitKat and has a 1.3 GHz quad-core processor. Let us take a look at its specifications:

  • 4.5-inch IPS display with a resolution of 854 x 480 pixels
  • 1.3 GHz quad-core processor is what you get under the hood and it gets coupled with a 1GB RAM
  • Android 4.4 KitKat is what you get  on it
  • There’s 8GB of internal storage (it hasn’t been mentioned till now but we are guessing its 8GB) which is expandable by 32GB courtesy of the microSD card slot present on it
  • 5-Megapixel camera at the rear coupled with a LED flash and joining it is a VGA front camera
  • 3G HSPA+, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, Dual SIM and GPS are present to help you remain connected
  • Colours Available: Classy Silver and Electric Blue
  • 1950 mAh battery

You get free Flipkart eBooks worth Rs. 1000 with the device and Aircel is offering 500 MB of free data per month for the first 6 months for its users. It will go on sale on Flipkart on December 8.
