Micromax has unveiled another Canvas-series smartphone, the Canvas Hue, for the price of Rs 10,999. The device will be available from Friday this week from online and offline stores all over India.
One of the interesting features of the Micromax Canvas Hue is that it is backed by a massive 3000mAh battery, which is touted by the company, to deliver back-up of up to 30-days, thanks to its super power saving mode.
Micromax Canvas Hue is an Android 4.4.2 KitKat-based device with dual-SIM support (GSM+GSM). Micromax has announced that the smartphone is upgradable to Android 5.0 Lollipop via FOTA (firmware over-the-air). However, it has not yet revealed a set date for the release of the update.
The smartphone features a 5-inch (720x1280 pixels) HD AMOLED display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. It is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6582 processor coupled with a Mali 450 GPU and 1GB of RAM.
The Micromax Canvas Hue has 8GB of internal storage, which can be further expanded up to 32GB via microSD card. It sports an 8-megapixel of autofocus rear camera with Sony Exmor RS sensor, and LED flash, along with a 2-megapixel fixed-focus front camera.
In terms of the connectivity options it includes 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Micro-USB, A-GPS and FM radio. The device is available in Gold and White colors.
