*Companies like Micromax, Karbon and Xolo should prepare themselves as there is a storm coming in their way and that is Xiaomi. Xiaomi Mi3 already provided great specs for a price tag as low as 15k in fact specs better than Nexus 5(except for Android version) at a cheaper price. What’s more interesting is that the Xiaomi Mi3 is actually the flagship device of Xiaomi. They are yet to release their super affordable redmi and hongmi range of smartphones. Once Xiaomi comes to India with its Redmi and hongmi range the real fun will begin. The Xiaomi Redmi note comes… Read more »

it doesn’t make sense to go for redmi note at 12k when Mi3 is already at 15k
and i think they might not even launch that here due to Mi3

it can succeed only if it is 9-10k

*Even I guess they might keep it 10k or below anyhow lets see. In singapore it was launched for 160$ so maybe below 10k in India.

btw do check out asus zenphone 5

5 inch 720p screen
dual core intel atom z2560 ( better than snapdragon 400 )
2 gb ram
8mp rear , 2 mp front

Price – 9999

great phone from a reputed brand , best phone under 10k

*Yup just saw their ad today morning .Its the best time in the Indian smartphone market.

Something is missing
External storage
Now google promoting their cloud services which i feel is a complete waste in country like india where there is no truly unlimited plans are still not available
N about Xiaomi the service center will be the biggest issue they r going to face
N I will think 3 times bfore buying if service center is a problem bcuz still there is no note from the company website abt the service location…

*They will set up service centres eventually bro.If someone asks me which smartphone manufacturer would dominate 7 years down the line I would place my bet on Xiaomi.Smartphones are more or less commodities now and the vendor which provides cheaper phones would win and as of now its Xiaomi which is the cheapest on a global basis as far as I know.
