Meizu 6T Entry-Level Smartphone With Dual Rear Cameras Launched

Meizu, at its launch event in China, has announced the entry-level Meizu 6T smartphone with outdated hardware and software on board. However, there are some 2018 standard features used by Meizu in the 6T such as the dual rear cameras, 18:9 display and different colour options. The Meizu 6T will be available in three colour options- Black, Gold and Red and the Red coloured model stand out from the two. Also, the Red colour variant of the 6T has black bezels on the front, not the white coloured ones. The Meizu 6T will be exclusive to the Chinese market during the initial phase, and the company is yet to reveal its plans of bringing the device to other markets.

Meizu 6T Pricing and Availability
The Meizu 6T will be available in various storage options. The base variant with 3GB RAM and 32GB storage option is priced at 799 Yuan (approx. Rs 8,500). The 4GB RAM and 32GB storage option is priced at 999 Yuan (approx. Rs 10,600). Lastly, we have the premium variant with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage at 1099 Yuan (approx. Rs 11,600). The device will be available in China starting June 1.

Meizu 6T Specifications and Features
The Meizu 6T is an entry-level smartphone as the price itself states the same. The smartphone has a 5.7-inch HD+ display carrying a resolution of 720 x 1440 pixels and 18:9 aspect ratio. Inside the Meizu 6T, we have the MediaTek MT6750 chipset and Mali T860 GPU. As mentioned, the device comes in various RAM/storage configurations. This dual-SIM smartphone comes laden with Android 7.1.1 Nougat out of the box.

The smartphone measures 8.4mm in thickness and weighs 145 grams. The Meizu 6T boasts dual camera setup at the back. The primary 13MP camera has a Sony IMX278 sensor with f/2.2 aperture, whereas the secondary sensor is a 2MP depth unit. Meizu has added an 8MP selfie shooter on this device with AI-based Face Beauty technology.

The fingerprint scanner is placed at the rear side of the device, and it has all the sensors such as the digital compass, ambient light sensor, gravity sensor and gyroscope. The phone also has Face Unlock feature with the connectivity options ranging from 4G LTE, VoLTE, Bluetooth, GPS and a micro USB port. It has a 3300mAh battery backing the entire package.
