Lenovo S5 Pro Debuts With Snapdragon 636, Dual Front Cameras and Front Notch

After being teased for a lot of months and being listed on the TENAA website, Lenovo has finally launched the Lenovo S5 Pro smartphone in China. The phone comes with a display notch, a metal unibody design, vertically stacked dual rear camera setup and face unlock capability. Notably, the phone is the successor the previously launched Lenovo S5 which was launched in March earlier this year. Since the phone bears the mid-range Snapdragon 636 chipset, it competes in the market with smartphones like Xiaomi Mi 6X, Honor 8X and Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite. Lenovo S5 Pro Specifications

The Lenovo S5 Pro sports a 6.18-inch Full HD+ display which fashions a 1080x2246 pixels resolution on a screen of 18.7:9 aspect ratio which comes with 113% RGB colour gamut. Powering the phone is the octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 processor which is paired with Adreno 509 GPU along with 6GB of RAM. On the software front, the phone comes with Android 8.1 Oreo with ZUI 5.0 on top.

The Lenovo S5 Pro debuts with a dual rear camera setup comprising of a 20MP primary shooter which comes with f/1.8 aperture and a 12MP secondary sensor bearing a f/2.6 aperture. The phone flaunts a 20MP camera on the front with a f/2.2 aperture on the front paired with an 8MP secondary sensor. The rear camera comes with the 2X optical zoom which facilitates loss-less zoom capability. Further, there is also the Artificial Intelligence (AI) support for the rear camera. The front camera comes with IR support as well which allows for 3D face unlock, and the selfie snapper is also comes enabled with AI portraits, beauty, and 3D ambient lighting.

Buyers of this new phone will be able to get their hands on a 64GB or 128GB variant in terms of internal storage. The connectivity options on the phone include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS/ A-GPS, USB Type-C, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The phone also comes with ambient light, fingerprint sensor, electronic compass, gravity, gyroscope, and a proximity sensor. The dimensions on the phone measure 154.5x75.45x7.7mm and it comes with a 3,5000mAh battery supported by 15W fast charging.

Lenovo S5 Pro Pricing

The Lenovo S5 Pro has debuted with a price tag of CNY 1,298 in China, (approx. Rs 13,700) for the 6GB RAM and 64GB internal storage option. However, the 128GB storage variant’s pricing is yet to be announced. The colour options for the phone will include Black, Blue, and Gold and the sale for the phone will start on October 23 in the country.
