Samsung has created its own brand name and image in the market of Smartphones. With every new launch, it has been steadily gaining popularity and earning reputation. Lenovo, too, is one of the finest makers of Android enabled phones. Lenovo is known for using latest technology and finest material in creating their products.
Lenovo’s K900 is now being compared with Samsung’s Galaxy Mega 6.3. Let us have a relative look at these phones:
Built and Design: Galaxy Mega 6.3, which is 0.31 inches thick and weighs 199 grams, is heavier than Lenovo K900 which is only 0.27 inches thick and weighs about 162 grams.
Processor: Lenovo K900 comes equipped with a 2 Giga Hertz dual core processor from Intel which can give quad cores a run for their money. On the other hand, Galaxy Mega 6.3 comes with a 1.7 Giga Hertz dual core processor.
Operating System: Both Lenovo K900 as well as Galaxy Mega 6.3 work on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean operating system.
Display: Galaxy Mega 6.3 comes with a Super Clear LCD display touch screen of 6.3 inches with a pixel density of 233 ppi. Lenovo K900, on the other hand, has an IPS LCD touch display of 5.5 inches with a pixel density of 401 ppi. Both the Smartphones have Ambient Light Sensor, Proximity Sensor, Multi touch features and scratch resistant display. Lenovo K900 has a Gorilla Glass protection on top of it.
Camera: Lenovo K900 comes with a rear camera of 13 mega pixels and a front facing camera of 2 mega pixels. It offers 1920x 1080 pixels resolution. Where as Galaxy Mega 6.3 comes with a rear camera of 8 mega pixels, front facing camera of 1.9 mega pixels and a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. Both the phones feature auto focus, digital zoom and video recording. Lenovo K900 is also capable of taking Panorama shots and has in built HDR mode. Unlike Galaxy Mega 6.3 that offers single LED flash, Lenovo K900 offer dual LED flash. It also has video light that enables you to make beautiful videos even in low light, face detecting and geo-tagging feature too.
Memory: Lenovo K900 and Galaxy Mega 6.3 come with a RAM of 2 GB and 1.5 GB respectively. Galaxy Mega 6.3 has an internal storage of 8/16 GB and expandable memory up to 64 GB. Lenovo K900 comes with an internal memory of 16 GB and a non expandable memory of 32 GB.
Networks: Lenovo K900 supports 2G and 3G networks where as Galaxy Mega 6.3supports 2G, 3G as well as 4G networks.
Connectivity features: The connectivity features of Lenovo K900 include Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and 3G. Galaxy Mega 6.3 offer connectivity features such as Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, 3G and 4G. Both the phones come with Accelerometer and GPS. Galaxy Mega 6.3 also provides Gyroscope. However, unlike Galaxy Mega 6.3, Lenovo K900 also provides Near Field Communication feature and Digital Compass.
Battery: Lenovo K900 comes with a battery of 2500 mAh Li-Polymer where as Galaxy Mega 6.3 comes with a 3200 mAh Li-ion battery. LenovoK900 offers a talk time of 15 hours on 2G, stand by time of 300 hours and talk time of 12 hours on 3G. On the other hand, Galaxy Mega 6.3 provides 18 hours’ talk time on 2G, 456 hours’ of standby time and 17 hours’ of talk time on 3G.
Prices: Lenovo K900 costs about Rs.25,449 where as Galaxy Mega 6.3 is worth Rs.28,000.
Our Take: Both the companies have put great efforts and technology in creating these Smartphones. In terms of features, I would vote in the favor of Lenovo K900. The smartphone has the class and elegance with raw processing power that the Mega 6.3 finds hard to match.
