Lava Launches First Mobile Phone Incorporate with Rupee symbol

Indian Mobile phone maker Lava Mobile, today announced that its going to be the first handset brand to incorporate Indian Rupee Symbol in mobile phones for Indian consumers. Lava B5, the latest model from Lava bears the rupee symbol in its keypad and it will be available at Rs.4399.

Incidentally B5 is also the first phone with world’s first Alpha keypad with keys arranged in ABCD order.




The company claims the concept behind Alpha key-pad phone is to make texting and e-mailing easier and faster. India has the largest number of people using sms and the Alpha keypad will go a long way to empower a very large segment of mobile users another benefit is to provide a user-friendly experience to increase adaptability of full key-pad phones at faster pace.
