Kult Ambition With 13MP Rear Camera, 3GB of RAM, and 2600mAh Battery Launched at Rs 5,999 in India

If you are looking for a smartphone on a tight budget, there won’t be a greater time than now. On the backdrop of Redmi 5A and Bharat 5 smartphones, here comes another entry-level 4G smartphone from Indian smartphone maker, Kult. Home-bred phone maker Kult announced the launch of their all-new Ambition smartphone on Monday. This is company’s fourth smartphone after Kult 10, Kult Beyond and Kult Gladiator.

Kult is looking to set new standards with the Kult Ambition smartphone because it’s the cheapest smartphone in the country right now with 3GB of RAM. The Amazon exclusive Kult Ambition will retail at Rs 5,999 and will be available starting December 11. It will come with the single colour option of Black.

Kult Ambition comes with a 5-inch On Cell HD IPS display with a resolution of 1,280 x 720 pixels. The device flaunts a metal build with a removable back panel and rear fingerprint sensor for security purposes.

On the performance side of things, Ambition is powered by a quad-core 1.25GHz MediaTek MTK6737 processor paired a Mali-T720 GPU. The processor is coupled with 3GB RAM. Onboard 32GB internal storage is expandable up to 32GB via microSD card slot. The processor seems to be a letdown, but Kult has managed to add 3GB of RAM at such low price.

On the optics front, Kult has equipped the Ambition with a 13MP Auto-Focus rear camera with an LED flash. A 5MP selfie shooter on the front too has been equipped with an LED flash for low-light imaging.

The device runs Android Nougat out of the box and is powered by a 2,600mAh removable battery. Other than this, the smartphone comes with connectivity options of 4G LTE, VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth, GPS, dual-SIM and OTG support.

In comparison with the previous Kult Gladiator, both devices are equipped with similar specs. The Gladiator came with a larger a 5.5-inch HD IPS display, 8MP front camera and larger 4,000mAh battery and retailed for Rs 6999.

At the price of Rs 5,999, the Kult Ambition goes against the Xiaomi Redmi 5A, but the latter comes with 2GB of RAM and available at a price of Rs 4,999.
