The Kodak Ektra smartphone comes with a 5-inch Full HD display, carrying a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. The display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass technology and a 2.5D curved glass on top. The smartphone is powered by the MediaTek Helio X20 chipset, with a 2.3GHz CPU on top. The chipset is accompanied by Mali-T880 MP4 GPU.

The smartphone comes with 3GB of RAM and 32GB internal storage, expandable memory up to 128GB with a microSD card. The device runs on dated Android 6.0 Marshmallow, which is a massive letdown.

Coming to the highlight aspect of the device- the cameras, the Kodak Ektra sports a 21MP rear camera with f2.0 aperture, PDAF, LED light, etc. Kodak has also added support for 6-axis Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS). The camera application comes with modes such as HDR, Landscape, Portrait, Macro, Sport, Night-time, Panorama and Bokeh, alongside a Smart Auto mode which auto-selects the best conditions for your photographs.

Further, the Kodak Ektra smartphone comes preinstalled with Snapseed, which is one of the best photo editing tools available right now.

The phone comes with a decent 3000mAh battery which can be charged via a USB Type-C port. “Driven by the enthusiasm from customers globally, we are thrilled to bring the KODAK EKTRA to photo enthusiasts in India.,” said Peter Stephens, CEO Bullitt Group, a Kodak licensee for mobile devices.

“Kodak carries a strong brand legacy in India, and with EKTRA, we aim to enhance the skills and experience of Indian photo-enthusiasts. The KODAK EKTRA Smartphone is all about capturing the moment, telling a story, and revealing the experience of photography. Our latest features and performance adjustments include RAW support, all of which will help drive our customers’ creativity.” he added.
