Two of the largest domestic smartphone makers Karbonn and Mircomax have got their flagship devices locking horns with each other in almost every segment that they have a presence in. And now that both of them have their flagship devices hitting the launch pad, it was time that we compared the two of them. The rival devices go neck-to-neck in terms of features and specifications.

Here we compare the two for you, to help you make an informed buying decision-
Display- Titanium X and Canvas turbo, both have similar 5-inch IPS screen with 1920x1080 pixels. Both of them are pretty similar units and you’ll hardly find a difference between the two of them.

Micromax-Canvas-TurboProcessor- Titanium X as well as the Canvas Turbo runs on Quad-core processor clocked at 1.5 GHz manufactured by MediaTek. Its that time when they are so similar yet somehow different but the same heart makes both of them pretty capable performers.
Camera- Titanium comes with a 13 megapixel rear camera with dual-LED flash and a 5MP front camera. Canvas Turbo also has same camera specifications. So, it’s a tie between the two. The real world performance will differ for sure but we are yet to use the devices to find that out.
Operating System- Both the devices run on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean) operating system. They don’t really have a great record for pushing updates for their devices but who knows, they might just give them the 4.3 treatment. Till then, there’s a tie in this regard as well.
Connectivity- Both phones support 3G, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.0. The Karbonn Titanium X features NFC while the Micromax offering does not and this is one thing that sways the pendulum in the favour of the Titanium X.
Battery- Titanium runs on 2300 mAh Li-ion battery while Canvas Turbo has Non-removable Li-Ion 2000 mAh battery. So, Titanium has a little upper hand on this front.
Both the phones offer similar features and specifications hence there is no sharp differentiation. While Canvas Turbo has dual SIM support, there is no confirmation if the Titanium X will also have the same. Similarly, Micromax Canvas Turbo has 16 GB memory with no slot for further expansion while there is uncertainty about memory configuration of Titanium X.  But in all likelihood, it will feature 16GB of internal storage capacity which will be available for expansion by another 32GB.

Both the devices fall under Rs 19,000-20,000 price range. Hence, the choice can hardly be logic driven in this case and will be driven by the fact as to how does Karbonn price the device. However, a better suggestion is to have a look at both devices and pick up the one which looks more attractive to you.
