Karbonn has announced a new smartphone in the Indian market, which is by far the best-specced smartphone from the company in recent times. Dubbed as Karbonn Titanium Jumbo, the smartphone is priced at Rs. 6,490 and goes against the Xiaomi Redmi 4, which is available at Rs. 6,999 in the Indian market.
The highlight of the Karbonn Titanium Jumbo is the beefy 4000mAh battery present inside the smartphone. In comparison, the Xiaomi Redmi 4 comes with a slightly bigger 4100mAh battery. Karbonn states that the Titanium Jumbo will offer up to 400 hours of standby time and talk time of up to 16 hours.
Specifications wise, the Karbonn Titanium Jumbo rocks a 5-inch HD display with a resolution of 720*1280 pixels. It is fuelled by a 1.3GHz quad-core chipset, clubbed with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. Thankfully, the storage can be expanded up to 64GB with a microSD card.
As said earlier, the smartphone has a 4000mAh battery backing it, but Karbonn did not mention any fast charging technology though. It has all the necessary connectivity options such as 4G LTE, VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS.
Camera wise, the Titanium Jumbo has a 13MP rear shooter with an LED flash support, and a 8MP front-facing camera, which unfortunately doesn't come with an LED flash support. The camera application offers features such as face detection, Panorama shot, and continuous shot. It runs Android Nougat out of the box.
Lastly, this dual-SIM smartphone will be made available in two colour options- Black and Champagne. Karbonn is marketing a video editor application preloaded in the smartphone, but there are no details about the app though. Karbonn is yet to reveal the availability of the smartphone. Hopefully, the device will be available in both offline and online markets.
