Jio Ships 182GB of 4G Data With Rs 498 Prepaid Plan: What Do Other Telcos Offer?

Reliance Jio did not revise its tariff plans for nearly 11 months now, but the telco is still providing the best prepaid tariffs in the industry. Telcos such as BSNL, Bharti Airtel and Vodafone Idea came close to Jio in the benefits aspect, but never outsmarted Jio. With some plans such as the Rs 558 from Airtel, Rs 569 from Vodafone, they managed to beat Jio with better data benefit and validity. However, when it comes to plans priced below Rs 500, Jio is still the undisputed king of the industry. Jio has a total of four 2GB daily data plans priced at Rs 199, Rs 398, Rs 448 and Rs 498, and all the plans provide better data benefit than the incumbent. With the Rs 498 prepaid plan of Jio, a user can get 182GB of 4G data valid for 91 days from the date of recharge.

Out of all the options, the daily 2GB data packs are the highest selling ones thanks to their value for money pricing and just enough bundled benefits. Read ahead to know more about the 2GB daily data plans by Reliance Jio.

Reliance Jio Prepaid Plan of Rs 198

This is the most affordable plan by Reliance Jio which offers 2GB daily 4G data to the subscribers. As part of this plan, Reliance Jio users get 2GB daily 4G data with a validity of 28 days, meaning that they get access to 56GB of data in total as opposed to 42GB which was the norm before. After 2GB daily FUP usage, the speed throttles down to 64kbps. Apart from these benefits, the plan also grants free unlimited national and roaming calls to the subscribers along with 100SMS per day and access to Reliance Jio’s host of apps.

Reliance Jio Prepaid Plan of Rs 398

This plan by Reliance Jio is the next in the list, offering 2GB daily 4G data to subscribers. However, with a bigger price tag, this plan provides massive 140GB total data to the subscribers and thus comes with 70 days validity. The other benefits of the plan remain the same with unlimited local, STD and roaming calls, 100SMS per day and access to Reliance Jio’s apps.

Reliance Jio Prepaid Plan of Rs 448

Another long-term validity plan by Reliance Jio which offers 2GB daily 4G data to subscribers is the Rs 448 plan by Reliance Jio. This plan is ideal for users who make use of about 2GB of data every day whether it is by watching media or browsing the net. The plan comes with an 84 days validity, and it offers a total of 168GB data in the entire validity period. The subscribers also get free unlimited national and roaming calls, 100SMS per day and access to apps like JioTV, JioMusic, JioCinema and much more.

Reliance Jio Prepaid Plan of Rs 498

Reliance Jio’s most expensive plan offering 2GB daily data to subscribers is the Rs 498 prepaid recharge plan. This plan comes with the most validity of 91 days and thus ships 182GB of data in the entire validity period. Like the other plans, the speed in this plan throttles down to 64kbps post the FUP usage, but subscribers get other benefits like unlimited calling, 100SMS per day and subscription to Reliance Jio’s apps.

Verdict

Bharti Airtel has a Rs 499 prepaid plan with which it’s shipping 2GB data per day for 82 days. Vodafone India also providing a Rs 511 prepaid recharge with 2GB data per day for 84 days. If we are to tell you about the most economical option, then the Rs 498 prepaid plan by Reliance Jio seems like the best choice since it ships free calling and data for three months straight thus removing the hassle of recharging again and again while also proving to be value for money. However, if you are looking to use heavy data just for a month while travelling or for any reasons, then the Rs 198 prepaid plan will also suit your needs well.

After reading all comments here, it is very clear Jio has pathetic network and Ambani is totally blank in improving the network

What is the use being richest person if he can’t tell the public how to improve his network…

You think he doesn’t know that? Jio needs spectrum until then the situation will not change

Rohit is right. Jio needs more spectrum in the FDD bands 3 and 5. 5MHz in both bands isn’t enough right now. 10 to 15MHz is required, along with 4×4 MIMO. Then there’s the question of railways and public places where there’s a large crowd. Jio needs to add a lot of small cells in that area. So, it’s best to wait till September 2019 for that. That’s when the auctions will be conducted. It’ll be a reverse auction and Jio will buy a whole lot of spectrum that time. So yeah. Wait till 2020 Q2.

Layman won’t wait till then. Due to mandatory recharge policy of Incumbents, I think people will either dump their secondary or primary numbers of AVoId or start recharging with almost the same plans of the TelCos. At least we can surf on Incumbents Network, what is the point waiting till 2020 on Jio’s Network when it is unusable.
