After seeing huge demand of SIM cards (which come with unlimited 4G data and calling benefits) at its digital stores, Jio might offer doorstep delivery of SIM cards soon to boost its subscriber base.

Jio, the 4G arm of Reliance Industries has launched services commercially on 5th Sept, but the company failed to meet huge demands of its SIM cards which are available through Reliance Digital and few partner outlets. It is not uncommon to see people queuing up in droves at Reliance Digital, Digital Xpress, Digital Xpress Mini stores, and other select retail outlets in the hope of getting their hands on a Reliance Jio SIM. The demand further grew after the company announced free voice calls forever to any number in India.

To solve the issue and meet the huge demands, the company may launch a portal where people can book a Jio SIM card by providing certain basic information. After that the Jio SIM card would delivered to the applicant's address in 5-7 days. People working with Jio have informed us that the company has already tested this and can launch it in metro cities soon. While it would be rolled out to other cities later.

Mukesh Ambani has already set a target for Jio employees to achieve 100 million customers as soon as possible and if Jio comes with home delivery of Jio SIM cards more people can join the network without much hassle while the company can significantly boost its subscriber base in a short while.
