Itel is back. The company is mostly committed to launching entry-level phones targeting consumers who can’t afford expensive smartphones from Samsung, Xiaomi and others. Itel, on Monday, launched a new A series phone in India called the A44 Power. As goes for a lot of Itel phones, the biggest highlight of the Itel A44 Power is its battery setup. The smartphone comes with a massive 4000mAh battery. Itel has launched the A44 Power in India for a price tag of Rs 5,999, which goes against phones like Xiaomi Redmi 5A.

Interestingly, even though the A44 Power is an entry-level phone, it packs a dual rear camera setup, 18:9 display and also Face Unlock feature to let the user unlock the phone just by looking at the phone screen. The itel A44 Power runs the Go edition of Android 8.1 Oreo, software that is optimised to power the entry-level phones.
Itel A44 Power: Specifications and Features
The Itel A44 Power comes with some great features for an entry-level phone. The smartphone comes packed with a 5.45-inch FWGA+ display with a resolution of 480×960 pixels paired with 18:9 aspect ratio. On the hardware front, the Itel A44 Power is powered by a 64-bit quad-core processor clocked at up to 1.4GHz. The phone comes in only one configuration with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of inbuilt storage which is further expandable up to 32GB via microSD card.
Commenting on the launch of the Itel A44 Power Goldee Patnaik, who’s the Head of Marketing itel Business Unit said, “Itel A44 Power brings with it the powerful 4000mAh Li-Polymer battery for our target audience along with 5.45-inch FWVGA+ ‘Full Screen’ Display and dual rear cameras at a budget-friendly price point.”
