Apple has just announced a new ‘free service’ program for the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro users. Note that this free service program won’t cover every repair but only the sound issues that were coming on some devices during voice calls. The iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro devices, which were manufactured and sold between October 2020 - April 2021, will be eligible for the free service. According to a TOI report, in case you have an iPhone 12 that is manufactured and sold between the said dates and does not emit a sound when you receive or make voice calls, it will be eligible for a free service from the company.
Where Can You Go for Getting Free iPhone 12 Service?
In India, users can walk into any of the official Apple authorised service providers’ shops and claim the free service. The iPhone 12 mini or the iPhone 12 Pro Max aren’t included in the program. But there’s a time limit for the repair program.
Both the iPhone 12 and the iPhone 12 Pro will only be eligible for repair for the first two years from their retail sale date. The cost of the repair will be completely borne by the company, and the user won’t have to pay anything.
If you have an iPhone 12 or an iPhone 12 Pro with the same issue mentioned above, feel free to book a service from an Apple authorised service provider in any part of India. Users can also reach out to Apple Support for getting help with making a booking for the repair.
Note that Apple might restrict the repair program for a particular iPhone to the country of retail purchase. This means that if you have an iPhone 12 you purchased from outside India, you won’t be able to get the benefit of a free repair in India but only in the country where you purchased it from.
