One of the biggest tech launches for 2026 would be the iPhone Ultra. This is an iPhone that would get all the eyeballs, not just from the consumers, but also from the competitors. Apple has been delaying the launch of its foldable iPhone for many years. In 2026, the company is finally expected to launch it for the global market, and will likely name it the iPhone Ultra. Some people have already been testing the iPhone Ultra. These are of course Apple employees internally testing the device. What is interesting here is that the iPhone Ultra is now expected to bring back the Touch ID for the iPhones.

iPhone Ultra Touch ID, What’s the Update
Apple’s new iPhone Ultra will come with the Touch ID, suggested Mark Gurman from Bloomberg. As per Gurman, initial testers of the iPhone Ultra have been liking certain aspects of the product. Things such as the fit of the product in the pocket, as well as the feel and the durability of the iPhone Ultra is being liked by the users. Another thing which the testers have liked about the iPhone Ultra is that it has a large internal display with which the iPad like layout of apps is possible and it has been a great experience.
One thing which Apple has reportedly sacrificed on to keep the iPhone Ultra slim is the in-display Face ID. Thus, Apple has instead gone for the side mounted fingerprint sensor on the device. This will bring Touch ID back into the game. But one thing which has been shared by Gurman is that the camera setup will not feature a telephoto sensor. This is good for people who don’t care much about zoomed in shots. But if you do, then at the price tag the iPhone Ultra is expected to come at, you are likely not going to like it.
