But the industry rumours are that Apple is planning to launch the iPhone 17e next month. It could feature the A19 chip which is present on the iPhone 17 series. This new chip could result in a 5-10% faster performance than the previous generation chipset.

Earlier, Apple used to brand its gateway iPhones as the iPhone SE. But last year, the company launched the iPhone 16e, the first time a gateway phone with just an 'e' branding. The iPhone 17e will be the latest iPhone from the company, and will act as a gateway to the iPhone 17 series. We expect Apple to continue with the design language of the iPhone 16e, and the phone will likely feature a single camera sensor only.

There will be upgrades in the camera hardware, most likely. We could see the new 18MP selfie sensor at the front with Center Stage support.
