Infinix Smart 2 Gets Android 9 Pie, Update Rolling Out in Phased Manner

Infinix launched the Redmi 6A successor in August this year. The phone is called the Infinix Smart 2. This Infinix phone was launched in India running on Android 8.1 Oreo on top of XOS 3.3.0, but the company has upgraded the phone to the latest Android 9 Pie software. The update is rolling out to all users in India right now. With Pie coming to the Infinix phone, it makes more difficult for the Redmi 6A or “Desh Ka Naya Smartphone” to survive. Infinix has been on a roll lately. The company has recently launched several phones in India including the Note 5 and the Note 5 Stylus – which comes with a Galaxy Note like S Pen. Interestingly, both the Infinix Note 5 and Note 5 Stylus come with Google’s Android One programme and this increases the chances of the phones to get the latest software – Android 9 Pie – very soon. However, Infinix is yet to reveal details on the same.
