IFA 2015: Huawei announces G8 smartphone with 5.5-inch Full HD display and 3GB RAM 

The IFA 2015 has witnessed two major launches from Huawei; the company unveiled the Mate 7 smartphone and the much-talked about G8 smartphone as well. The Huawei G8 will be available in many countries including Malaysia, Taiwan, Saudi Arabia, China, Egypt, Germany, and the United Kingdom.

Huawei G8 The Huawei G8 has been crafted in an all metal body, and features a 5.5-inch full-HD display at a resolution of 1080×1920 pixels with 2.5D curved Gorilla Glass. It is powered by a 64-bit octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 616 (Cortex A53 – 4×1.5GHz + 4×1.2GHz) processor coupled with 3GB of RAM. There is 32GB of internal storage onboard, which can be further expanded up to 64GB via microSD card, and runs Android 5.1 Lollipop with Huawei’s in-house Emotion UI 3.1 on top. Also, the phone has also been armored with Force Touch display technology, which can easily differentiate between a soft tap and forced tap.

Huawei G8 It sports a 13-megapixel primary camera with Sapphire protection encompassing the sensor, with a variety of features such as dual-tone LED Flash, optical image stabilization, ISP Foodie mode and makeup mode. There is a 5-megapixel of selfie camera too. Making the specs sweeter, the phone also features fingerprint scanner on the rear of the device. The dual-SIM smartphone supports a variety of connectivity features such as 4G LTE, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0 LE, GPS, and is backed by a 3,000 mAh battery. The Huawei Mate S has been priced at EUR 399 (approx. Rs 30,000) and will be available in Dark Silver, Gold, and White color options.
