Idea Cellular Counters Bharti Airtel and Vodafone by Revising Rs 389 Postpaid Plan With Roaming Outgoing Calls and 20GB Data

Idea Cellular has finally revised its entire range of Nirvana plans to compete with the likes of Bharti Airtel and Vodafone India. Idea revised the entire eight Nirvana postpaid plans with better data benefits, but the massive change has been made to the entry-level Rs 389 postpaid plan as it now offers unlimited roaming outgoing voice calls as well, on-par with Airtel and Vodafone's Rs 399 postpaid plan. These new plans are yet to be reflected on Idea Cellular's official website, and it might happen in the next couple of days, but for now, users can head over to MyIdea application and login with their account to see the revised benefits.

The best part of Idea Cellular's postpaid plan revisions is the new plan changes will automatically get reflected at the customer's end, and there's no need for the customer to change the plan again after a revision. Recently, we reported Idea's three Nirvana postpaid plans, but today, we have the entire eight Nirvana plan changes. Idea Cellular has divided the plans into two categories- Nirvana Value Plans and Nirvana Advantage Plans. Let's take a look at what the new Idea Nirvana Plans offer

Idea Cellular Nirvana Value Plans
As stated, Idea Cellular has divided eight postpaid plans into two categories, and the first one's Nirvana Value plans priced below Rs 1,000. The four plans are Rs 389, Rs 499, Rs 649 and Rs 999. The base plan of Rs 389 now gives unlimited voice calls including roaming incoming and outgoing calls and 20GB data for the billing cycle.

As we reported in our previous post, Idea's Rs 499 plan revised to offer 40GB data, the Rs 649 plan now offering 50GB and the Rs 999 plan modified to provide 80GB data per month. And these three plans also offer unlimited roaming calls and 100 SMS per day, which reflects 3000 SMS per billing cycle.

Also, these plans are eligible for Idea data rollover scheme, but a customer can store up to 200GB maximum data. Lastly, Idea Cellular is also offering 20% discount on Family Benefit. And these plans do not offer any ISD minutes.

Apart from the base Rs 389 plan, the remaining three plans offer free Idea News & Magazine subscription, Idea Select Membership and Child Secure.

Idea Cellular Nirvana Advantage Plans
Idea is offering four plans of Rs 1,299, Rs 1,699, Rs 1,999 and Rs 2,999. These plans also offer unlimited voice calls, 100 SMS per day but the data benefit varies. The Rs 1,299 plan is currently offering 100GB of data; the Rs 1,699 plan provides 150GB, the Rs 1,999 plan gives 200GB and lastly, the Rs 3,999 plan offers a whopping 300GB.

Idea is providing up to 500GB data rollover benefit, free four months subscription of Idea Phone Secure with the Rs 1,299, Rs 1,699 and Rs, 1999 plans, while the users on Rs 2,999 will receive free Idea Phone Secure subscription for one year.

And other benefits such as 20% discount for Idea Family customers, free 200 ISD minutes for Rs 2,999 plan users, free 100 ISD minutes for Rs 1,299, Rs 1,699 and Rs 1,999 plan are also applicable with these plans.

These are the new Nirvana range of postpaid plans from Idea Cellular. These plans are in-line with other telecom operators postpaid plans. As stated, Idea postpaid customers can check for these revised plans on MyIdea application.
