Idea Cellular has now come up with segmented tariff plans for its users across the country. The company is silently offering a Rs. 398 plan that offers both data and voice calling benefits, but the validity of the plan differs with users.
Firstly, the Rs. 398 tariff plan offers unlimited voice calls including incoming and outgoing roaming calls and 1GB 3G/4G data. Sadly, this plan doesn't offer any SMS benefits. As said earlier, the validity of this plan differs with users.
For example, in Andhra Pradesh & Telangana circle, it is valid for 56 days, and for some users, it is valid for 70 days. And the price of the plan may differ with each circle.
Idea Cellular is also offering an open market tariff plan of Rs. 349 that offers unlimited voice calls including incoming and outgoing roaming calls, 1GB data per day, and 100 SMS per day for 28 days.
Recently, Idea Cellular started offering a Rs. 357 plan which gives same benefits as the Rs. 349 plan, but the change here is the Rs. 357 plan is valid for every Idea subscriber irrespective of which device they use (2G/3G/4G), whereas the Rs. 349 plan is valid only for 3G/4G subscribers.
However, the benefits offered by the Rs. 357 plan and Rs. 349 are the same. Idea Cellular's plan is to counter Reliance Jio's Rs. 399 and Airtel's all-new Rs. 448 plan. The Rs. 399 plan from Jio and Rs. 448 plan from Airtel gives unlimited voice calls (roaming outgoing calls too), 1GB data per day, and 100 SMS per day for 70 days. Jio’s Rs. 399 plan and Airtel’s Rs. 448 plan are open market packs available for all subscribers.
