The OnePlus 6 launch is around the corner and telecom operator Idea Cellular managed to strike a deal with the company to offer additional data and other benefits for the OnePlus 6 buyers. Idea postpaid customers will get a cashback of Rs 2,000 in the form of Rs 100 discount every month for 20 billing cycles and 10GB of additional data for 20 months with the Rs 499 Nirvana postpaid plan. On the whole, the Rs 499 plan for the OnePlus 6 users will become Rs 399 (taxes additional) and the plan also gives access to Device Security for four months, along with Idea’s Digital Content services.
Idea Cellular did not leave the prepaid customers aside. Idea prepaid customers will get up to additional 370GB data which is 1.1GB data per day with the Rs 199 on 12 continuous recharge cycles.
Overall, the Rs 499 Nirvana postpaid plan becomes Rs 399 and offers benefits of unlimited voice calls, 3000 SMS, 50GB of data for 20 billing cycles. It also gives access to a host of Idea Digital services and Device Security for four months. The Rs 199 prepaid plan, for the OnePlus 6 users will give 2.5GB of data per day, unlimited voice calls and 100 SMS per day for a period of 28 days. However, do make a note that the additional data benefit will be applicable only if the users recharge the plan for 12 months continuously.
And yes, the OnePlus 6 will support Idea VoLTE service out of the box. So, if you’re an Idea customer in the circle where Idea VoLTE is available, you can enjoy HD voice calls too. Idea VoLTE is currently live across Maharashtra (Excluding Mumbai), Goa, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Tamilnadu, Gujarat, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh & Chhattisgarh. Idea is planning to launch VoLTE service across the country in the next few months.
The OnePlus 6 will be launched in India on May 17, and the first sale will happen on May 21 on Amazon India. OnePlus is also holding pop-up events across eight Indian cities where users can experience and purchase the smartphone, subjected to the availability. The price of the smartphone is yet to be revealed by the company, but it’s expected to retail around Rs 35,000.
