Idea Cellular Counters Airtel and Reliance Jio by Offering 28GB Data and Unlimited Voice Calls for 28 Days at Rs 199

Idea Cellular is quietly following incumbent telecom operators when it comes to tariff plans department. The operator has now revised its Rs 199 tariff plan, which now offers benefits similar to other telecom operators. Idea Cellular's Rs 199 tariff plan now gives 28GB data for the validity period, along with voice calling and SMS benefits too.


Yesterday, Reliance Jio and Bharti Airtel introduced and revised the Rs 199 tariff plans. And now, Idea Cellular did the same. The Rs 199 of Idea now offering 1GB data per day, unlimited voice calls including roaming calls, 100 SMS per day for 28 days. These changes will be effective from today.

As of now, we have confirmation that this plan will be first made live in Himachal Pradesh circle, and the operator might introduce it in other circles too in a few days. This is the best plan Idea introduced in recent times, and with this move, Vodafone is the only operator to not offer 1GB data per day with the Rs 199 tariff plan. It might come up with something later today.

It was started by Bharti Airtel first as it revised the Rs 199 tariff plan to offer 1GB data per day, unlimited voice calls including roaming calls and 100 SMS per day at just Rs 199. Soon, Reliance Jio joined the suit and introduced an all-new plan of Rs 199, offering better benefits that Airtel and other telecom operators.


Reliance Jio now has a Rs 199 tariff plan which keeps in ahead of incumbent telecom operators as the plan offers 1.2GB data per day, unlimited voice calls, and unlimited SMS for 28 days. Having said that, Jio is sticking to its words of offering 20% better benefits than other operators.

Telecom operators in India has now brought down the per GB data value to just Rs 7.96. Offering such benefits at just Rs 199 is a great move, and it will certainly benefit the customers.
