iBall Slide Imprint 4G Tablet for Aadhaar Verification Unveiled at Rs 18,999

iBall has expanded its tablet lineup in India with the launch of iBall Slide Imprint 4G, which is an STQC certified machine for carrying out Aadhaar verification in India. The USP of this tablet is it comes with an integrated fingerprint scanner, which will not only help in carrying out scanning and recording data, but it will also help in verifying the identity of a person. Having said all that, the tablet doesn’t come with a standard fingerprint scanner, meaning you won’t be able to unlock the device using the integrated fingerprint scanner. iBall states that the Slide Imprint 4G can be used at banks, government offices, RTOs, Educations, Sales Automation and B2B, where the Aadhaar authentication is required. Typically, iBall has launched an Aadhaar verification device, which can be found at Aadhaar enrolment centres.

Furthermore, the tablet also comes with STQC certified Iris Scanner and it even has a rugged build to sustain the normal drops, but iBall did not reveal any military grade certification for the device though.

The iBall Slide Imprint 4G is a 4G tablet and comes loaded with mediocre specifications. The handset has a 7-inch display with a resolution of 600 X 1024 pixels. Internally, it’s powered by a 64-but quad-core ARM Cortex A53 processor with all the four cores clocked at 1.3GHz. It comes with 1+8GB with options for 2+16GB of internal storage. The Slide also comes with 8 GB (optionally 16GB) built-in memory which is further expandable up to 32 GB. The 1+8GB variant is priced at Rs. 18,999.

The tablet offers 4G LTE, VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.0, a micro USB port & a standard USB port, micro HDMI, USB OTG and cast screen connectivity options. The tablet runs Android 7.0 Nougat and offers a 5MP camera on both the front and rear. Both the cameras come with support for an LED flash. This dual-SIM tablet comes with sensors such as G-Sensor, Light Sensor and Magnetic Sensor.

Furthermore, to allow data transfer and peripheral connections at the same time, iBall has added a DC charging port to the handset, which is a nice little addition. Lastly, the iBall Slide Imprint 4G is backed by a 5000mAh battery, and as per the company, it will last a complete day on a single charge, but it also depends on the usage of the device.

The tablet comes with 22 regional languages support and is priced at Rs 18,999. It will be available in a single Black colour option.
