Huami Amazfit Bip and Amazfit Stratos Features

Talking first about the Huami Amazfit Bip, the smartwatch sports a 1.28-inch display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protecting it. The screen also has a 2.5D curved glass on top, which gives a good look to the smartwatch. The USP of Amazfit smartwatches is battery life and the Amazfit Bip is no exception; It has a 190mAh Li-Polymer battery, and the company is promising 45 days of battery life on a single charge. The standby time is said to be four months, which is absolutely insane for a smartwatch.

As for sensors, the Amazfit Bip comes with PPG heart rate sensor, a triaxial accelerator sensor, a geomagnetic sensor, and air pressure sensor. This smartwatch also features inbuilt GPS and it weighs 32 grams only with the watch band. The Amazfit Bip can be controlled through the Xiaomi Mi Fit application and the connectivity medium is Bluetooth 4.0 LE. The Bip is also IP68 water and dust certified device.

Moving to the Huawei Amazfit Stratio, it's the pricier one of the two because it's premium and packs in more features. The Stratos fitness tracking smartwatch rocks a 1.34-inch colour screen display with a resolution of 300 x 320 pixels. The displays on both the smartwatches are always-on touchscreen panels. Huami states the Stratos sports a ceramic bezel and 5ATM water resistance which lack on the Amazfit Bip.

Same as the Amazfit Bip, the Stratos comes with always-on GPS, but the promised battery life is on the lower side at five days. With continuous GPS turned on, the Stratos is said to deliver 35 hours of battery life. Other functionalities of the Amazfit Stratos include sports modes such as pool swim, cycling, run, walk, soccer, climb, elliptical trainer, tennis, triathlon and trial run. It also comes with a VO2Max fitness level mode which analyses training effect on the body.

Another highlight feature of Stratos is it comes with internal storage, meaning a user can store music on the smartwatch and connect it to a smartwatch to listen to the music without the requirement of a smartphone. To browse through the smartwatch, users will be required to install Amazfit Watch App on their smartphone.
