So, it is confirmed that the plastic version of HTC One M8 will be called as the HTC One E8. The yet unannounced device is listed on HTC China’s website as HTC One E8. It was earlier rumoured to be named as HTC One M8 Ace and HTC One M8 Vogue Edition.

It will feature similar hardware internals as the original HTC One M8 but the metal body will be replaced with plastic, or say, polycarbonate. HTC has also replaced the 4MP UltraPixel Duo Camera with a regular 13 MP camera. It might be the same sensor which is used in the Desire 816.

@Rama do you think HTC is going the wrong way, creating models to its Flagship? the main reason I think M7 was a hit was that no replica’s were made (unlike s4 zoom, active etc) .. but HTC is doing opposite now ..

*Yes in fact I have been writing about the same ever since HTC One E8 started leaking out in public. *The problem over here is that price difference between Samsung Galaxy S5 and One E8 might not be sufficient during the launch period because of which the chances of One E8 being over shadowed by the S5 because of the marketing power Samsung possess is quite high. *Next up HTC must also look at the country in which they are planning to bring up E8.In reality China is the kinds of smartphone market with no shortage of manufacturers. From Xiaomi to… Read more »

Thank you for the great analysis bro!
Keep it up!!

I agree with your points, loss is ok by Sammy since they do not depend fully depend on mobiles, they have other appliances like TV, AC etc.
On the other hand, HTC is 100% dependent on mobiles for their income..

@rama hai rama bhai…can you plz tell which one is good
1)gionee e7 or 2)htc m8 ???is gionee is a good brand like htc?

*Its a personal choice but I still feel that HTC One 2014 has more innovative features like boom sound, duo camera, uni body aluminium etc compared to e7.HTC also has a better brand image than Gionee but still Elife E7 is available for 30k on flipkart whereas One M8 is available for 47k.So if u have the budget then go for One M8 or else if u wanna save a couple of bucks then E7 is also not a bad choice

*Its true that Samsung has a lot of divisions but the TV division actually posted a loss this quarter although the memory and chipset divisions are doing quite well but even if these divisions are not considered mobile division as a stand alone entity is doing very well and certain models from the mobile division bring in lots of profits. *I somewhere read that Samsung has a 100% profit margin on the S5 so while the S5 is retailing for 650$ off contract in US and India the profit earned per model might be approximately 300$.As of now Samsung has… Read more »
