With Valentine's Day around the corner, Huawei's sister brand Honor has launched a new colour variant of the Honor 7X in India. The Honor 7X Limited Edition Red comes with a Red coloured back, which is the current trend for various smartphone brands. This colour variant will also be exclusive to Amazon India and costs Rs 12,999. While Honor India is yet to reveal the availability of the smartphone, Amazon has already kicked off the registrations for the new colour option. Also, it's unknown whether the new colour option will be available in the 64GB variant.

The Honor 7X was well-received by the audience, in fact, we were impressed with the smartphone's build and design, but the only letdown is the software optimisation. We often faced lags and app crashes on the device. The Honor 7X replaced the much popular Honor 6X smartphone in India. To recall, Honor announced this Limited Edition Red variant of the 7X at the CES 2018 event last month and said that it would be available in major countries before Valentine's Day.

Honor recently confirmed that it started manufacturing the Honor 7X in India in Chennai. We're not sure whether the new colour variant is manufactured in India or not. So Honor is now working under Indian Government's Digital India initiative.

Honor 7X Specifications
The Honor 7X (first impressions) is an interesting smartphone at Rs 12,999. It offers an exception build quality, tall 18:9 gorgeous display, 16nm chipset and dual cameras. The Honor 7X has a 5.93-inch Full HD+ display with 18:9 aspect ratio. It is powered by the HiSilicon Kirin 659 chipset, mated to 4GB of RAM. The phone is available in two storage configurations- 32GB and 64GB and is now available in three colour options- gold, black and blue. The 4GB RAM and 64GB variant is priced at Rs 15,999.

One of the primary features of the Honor 7X is the dual camera setup at the back. The Honor 6X was considered as the best dual camera smartphone in 2017 until the Xiaomi Mi A1 arrived, but the Honor 7X upped the ante in terms of camera, but that isn't enough too. A 16MP primary sensor is paired with a 2MP secondary depth sensor did not impress us, thanks again to the Mi A1 here which outsmarted the 7X.

Up front, there's an 8MP selfie camera, which does the job in most situations. The Honor 7X runs EMUI based on Android Nougat, no Android Oreo goodness yet. The phone has a 3340mAh battery and offers 4G LTE, VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS. At the bottom, we get a micro USB port, yes, in 2018, Honor has opted for a micro USB port.
