Honor View 20 Launched With Punch Hole Display, 48MP Rear Camera and Kirin 980 Chipset

After showcasing the smartphone a couple of weeks ago, Honor has finally announced its punch-hole selfie camera phone, the V20 in China on Wednesday. In addition to the in-display selfie camera, the Honor View 20 has several other highlighting factors like 48MP Sony IMX586 camera on the rear panel, HiSilicon Kirin 980 chipset, 25MP selfie camera, massive 4000mAh battery and Link Turbo technology. Huawei sub-brand has announced the Honor V20 in China today and the company has announced officially launch for the global market at an event in Paris on January 22. As of now, there are no revelations about the India launch of the Honor View 20.

Honor View 20 or Honor V20: Specifications and Features

As far as the specs of the Honor View 20 are concerned, the phone comes with a 6.4-inch Full HD+ TFT LCD display with a resolution of 1080x2310 pixels and aspect ratio of 19.5:9. The phone offers a screen-to-body-ratio of 91.82%. On the hardware front, the View 20 is powered by 7nm octa-core HiSilicon Kirin 980 SoC paired with up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage, which no support for storage expansion. The Honor View 20, on the software front, runs on Android 9 Pie based on MagicUI 2.0.1 out-of-the-box.

Camera is one of the highlighting factors of the Honor View 20. On the rear panel, the View 20 comes packed with a 48MP Sony IMX586 sensor primary sensor paired with a f/1.8 aperture. The main camera of the phone also comes with support for 960fps slow-motion video recording, autofocus, AI HDR, and LED flash. The phone includes a secondary 3D Time of Flight (ToF) camera which will enable the users to capture depth shots. On the front, the Honor View 20 features a 25MP camera with aperture f/2.0 and fixed focus for selfies. The Honor View 20 is backed by a massive 4000mAh battery with fast charging support.

Honor View 20: Price and Availability

The Honor View 20 has been launched for a starting price tag of CNY 2,999 – which when roughly translated to INR comes to Rs 30,400. This price is for the 6GB RAM+128GB storage variant of the View 20. The Honor View 20 has been launched in two variants. One with 6GB RAM/128GB storage, while the other model comes with 8GB RAM/128GB storage which has been launched for CNY 3,499 (roughly translated to Rs 35,500). In China, the Honor View 20 will be available in several colours like Charm Blue, Red, and Midnight Black. In addition to the standard variants, Honor has also launched a Moschcino Edition of Honor View 20 which has been launched for the slightly higher price tag at CNY 3,999 which roughly translates to Rs 40,600 when converted to INR. This special edition of the Honor View 20 comes packed with 8GB RAM + 256GB storage.
